Who is strictly financial?
We offer a specialist research service to the financial services industry, executed by experienced, expert people at good value.
Strictly Financial is run by Claire Labrum and Dave Skelsey – we are both qualitative financial services research experts. Between us, we have over 40 years experience of conducting work in this area, and both of us have in the past filled Unit Head positions where we ran teams handling such research. Over the years we have researched a wide range of varied topics, from the specialised to the general, using different research techniques to elicit the required information.
We draw on a network of equally experienced and senior people with whom we have had long working relationships. All have worked for major research organisations at a minimum of director level in specialist financial units.
Running successful teams can bring its own rewards, but the aspect of working in research that we both find most interesting and rewarding is…research! We set up Strictly Financial because we wanted to get away from the constraints imposed by working for large corporate research agencies – management meetings, strategies set by distant, unseen boards, appearing as figureheads at client meetings – and get back to where we think our strengths really lie…research and research based consultancy!
Much as this suits us, we also believe it suits our clients. None of their research is delegated down to people with limited experience and whom they may never get to meet. Instead, they have a direct relationship with genuine experts whose very livelihood depends on the delivery of relevant, valuable results.
Claire, Dave and the assigned team are intimately involved with the project from outset to completion. The individuals personally take the brief, project manage, conduct the moderation, analyse the findings and deliver the results. They are available throughout and beyond the project. The people you meet are the ones who actually do the work.
